Ron Chernow won the National Book Award in 1990 for his first book, The House of Morgan, and his second book, The Warburgs, won the Eccles Prize as the Best Business Book of 1993. His biography of John D. Rockefeller, Sr., Titan, was a national bestseller and a National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist. Chernow has appeared on "Today" and "NBC Nightly News" on NBC-TV, "Nightline" and "World News Tonight with Peter Jennings" on ABC-TV, on "CBS Evening News" on CBS-TV, on "Charlie Rose" and "Newshour with Jim Lehrer" on PBS-TV, and on C-Span, CNN, Fox News Channel, CNBC, CNNfn, the History Channel and National Public Radio.
Chernow has been called "As elegant an architect of monumental histories as we've seen in decades," (The New York Times), "America's Best Business Biographer" (Fortune), "A great business historian," (The Financial Times), and "One of the most gifted biographers of his generation," (St. Louis Post-Dispatch).
Chernow lives in Brooklyn Heights, New York.
